    BACKGROUND

At approximately 3 p.m., on September 5th, 2024, construction workers discovered human remains at a construction site “…in an area south of County Road 398, between County Road 394 and South Beauchamp Boulevard…” in Princeton, Texas. According to an article by WFAA (published 05 September 2024, updated 25 October 2024) “Police say they do not believe the intersection where the man was found was the location where he died.”

The victim is believed to be an Asian male (“Asian/Asian derived to include Amerindian and Hispanic descent”) between 15 to 30 years old. He weighed between 100 to 200 pounds and stood at approximately 5’3” in height. He had black hair. His eye colour could not be determined. No clothing or items possibly found on or near the man were noted.

Sadly, there is not much information on this Doe or his case.

I will note the very large weight range (100 to 200 pounds). His weight was likely not able to be determined, at least not any more than 100 to 200 pounds, due to decomposition. That is my guess, at least, and that it was just entered with the large range in NamUs.

    BACKGROUND

On the night of November 17th, 1999, a woman was driving a maroon-coloured 1985 Mitsubishi Galant on the 101 Freeway near Western Avenue in Los Angeles, California, when she stopped in the southbound number three lane, possibly due to car troubles, though it is unknown why she stopped. The Galant was then hit from behind by another vehicle, which caused the Galant to burst into flames. Authorities and paramedics were called who subsequently pronounced the driver of the Galant dead at the scene.

Authorities discovered that the Galant had been registered about four months prior to a man with the surname “Yoo”. When contacted, the man said he had sold the vehicle a few months prior after it was registered in his name. He claimed to not recall any information about the individual he sold the car to. The buyer apparently did not update the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) with their information, which is likely why it was still registered under Yoo’s name. According to the DoeNetwork, Yoo’s daughter was later located, but claimed to know nothing about the unidentified woman.

The victim’s race could not be determined, but the DoeNetwork and some articles claim she may have possibly been Asian. She was between 18 to 35 years old, weighed approximately 146 pounds, and stood between 5’0” to 5’6” in height. Her hair and eye colour could not be determined.

The woman was found wearing a yellow metal Claddagh ring with a bridge setting. This ring had a clear heart-shaped stone held by hands, and a round, small, clear stone above it.

The woman was also wearing a yellow metal “twisted” chain necklace with a clear Hershey Kiss-shaped pendant on it. Personally, the pendant looks like it’s made of glass; possibly lampwork or hand blown?

One white metal earring was also possibly found, though I only see this noted on NamUs and the DoeNetwork, but not on the County of Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s website or the 2019 news release from the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

As she had a Claddagh ring on, could there be chance she is Irish or was gifted to it by someone who is Irish? I’ve had a Claddagh ring in the past that I thrifted, but the one Jane Doe was found wearing seems more “fancy” with the stones, as a lot of Claddagh rings I see (including the one I owned) do not seem to have stones often.

Claddagh ring’s feature a heart which symbolizes love, a crown which symbolizes loyalty, and two hands clasped which symbolizes friendship. They are given and worn for many different reasons. According to My Irish Jeweler, Claddagh rings are often worn or given in romantic relationships “…either as a promise ring or to mark an engagement, or wedding.” They are also given and worn for platonic relationships “Claddagh rings are regularly given as special momentos to family members or dear friends. They are ideal for celebrating a unique friendship and are a particularly popular gift from parents or grandparents to young people coming of age here in Ireland. Some of our team here at My Irish Jeweler still have small Claddagh rings given to them by their grandparents on their communion.”

Some people wear them just because they like them/the look of them, though! So, it really is difficult to know. I thought I’d add the information about it anyway, just in case.

CLOTHING/ITEMS – On the body, the following was noted

    • Yellow metal Claddagh ring with bridged setting; heart-shaped clear stone held at the sides by hands and crowned with another small, round, clear stone (Size not stated)
    • Yellow metal “twisted” chain necklace with a clear “Hershey Kiss-shaped” pendant
    • One white metal earring

    BACKGROUND

On July 21st, 2020, human remains were discovered in the 2000 block of Ahrens Street, described as a “…grassy area behind some businesses and warehouses”, in Houston, Texas.

The victim is believed to be a Caucasian female between 45 to 70 years old. She stood approximately 5’4” to 5’6” in height and had long, partially white and brown/black hair. Her weight and eye colour could not be determined. It is noted that she “wears glasses”, though no glasses were noted to be found so I am unsure how they came to this conclusion or if some were found but just not noted down.

The woman had a colourful butterfly tattoo on her outer left calf. She was found wearing a dark blue t-shirt with the words “Stronger than Cancer” and the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon, black stretchy pants, yellow hospital-style non-slip socks, underwear, and a bra.

A comment on her Websleuths forum post link to a .pdf file by Harris County regarding this Jane Doe but it is not available now for some reason, or at least I cannot access it. They note that in the file, she is noted to have had “…a history of a left craniotomy (surgery involving the skull), surgery of her neck, and surgery of her wrist.” I have not seen this noted anywhere else but wanted to mention it.

A good write-up of this case was done a year ago on the r/UnresolvedMysteries subreddit by user u/HovercraftCapable820 that I will include in the reference links.

NOTES  Things of note or discrepancies found during research

    • 1 AGE – NamUs notes 40 to 70 years old, while Texas DPS notes 40 to 65 years old.
    • 2 HEIGHT – NamUs notes 5’5” to 5’6”, Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences notes her height as 5’6”, and Texas DPS notes 5’4” to 5’6”, so I can just used the shorted and tallest numbers for the range.

    BACKGROUND

On April 16th, 2025, Police officers were “…conducting a routine check…” of an abandoned motel in Atlanta, Georgia when they discovered human remains.

The victim is believed to me an adult Caucasian male and is listed as “Adult – Pre 60” on NamUs. He weighed approximately 80 pounds and stood at approximately 5’11” in height. He had brown hairs. His weight and eye colour could not be determined.

NamUs lists a possible name of “Michael Alan Brown”. I cannot find any further information about this name or even the case for that matter besides the NamUs listing. He is noted to have an estimated year of death of 2025 but no postmortem interval. Based on this, the earliest he may have died is 3.5 months (if we assume a strict 2025 timeline, it could very well have been late 2024 if it was half a month earlier). He is noted to be not recognizable – partial skeletal parts only, which to me sounds like he was fully decomposed as if decomposition was still occurring, they list that specifically as “not recognizable – decomposing/putrefaction”.

No clothing or items are listed. I am inclined to think this may have been a homeless man, especially as it was an abandoned motel, who happened to pass there at some point in time. His weight is very low, but given he was already decomposed and it lists it as “measured” and not “estimated” as in his estimated weight in life, it is very likely the weight of his remains that were left. I am also curious why it says, “partial skeletal parts only”, as when bodies are found already decomposed and “intact” for lack of a better saying, it is listed as “complete or partially complete skeleton”. I wonder if animals scavenged his body at some point and thus some was missing? I could also be wrong and sometimes this is used rather than the complete/partially complete entry.

    BACKGROUND

On September 4th, 2003, a man living in a mobile home on a property in Alpine, California was discovered deceased in his bed. The man was employed by the property owner as a landscaper and was allowed to stay on the land in his mobile home. The property owner “…was out of town until September 3rd. The next day he found the decedent deceased in bed.”

The man is described as Hispanic, between 60 to 70 years old. He weighed approximately 102 pounds and stood at approximately 5’6” in height. He had graying black hair approximately 2 inches long; the hair on the top of his head was sparse “…and there appears to be partial male patterned balding.” He had sparse, largely gray facial hair, approximately 3/8 to 1/2 in length.

His eye colour could not be determined. NamUs lists a possible first name of “Jose”.

He was found wearing a red t-shirt “…which has a logo on it from OASIS.” I am assuming this means the band OASIS but could just be a design with the word. He was also wearing a pair of black, red, and white boxer shorts.

Sadly, there is not much information on this Doe or his case. The photo included is from NamUs of the man’s mobile home. I wish there was more information on this case. Did he own the mobile home before starting work on the property and moved it there, was it already there and he moved in, when did he start working there?

The victim is believed to me a Caucasian male. He weighed between 150 to 170 pounds and stood between 5’7” to 5’9” in height.

NamUs does not list an estimate age range, and for his estimated age group it says, “Cannot determine”. His eye colour and hair colour are also listed as “unknown”. I do not know how they could not know or estimate these things, especially being in an adult foster care home, someone would have known/seen him to tell them these things, I’m sure. Also, obviously, would the foster care home not have information and documentation for this Doe?

There is a chance the Doe could not tell anyone his name due to some sort of disability/disabilities. If this was the case, you would think the foster home would have information given to them by other people, the state, etc. or just information such as an estimated age, hair colour, or eye colour.

He had a recognizable face, but there is no reconstruction nor are there postmortem photos available.

    BACKGROUND

On May 3rd, 2016, a man’s body was discovered at 90 East Lower Wacker Drive in Chicago, Illinois. The Cook County Medical Examiner notes that he was found on the sidewalk. The man was discovered to have passed away due to natural causes, with a primary cause being “hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease” and a secondary cause of “chronic obstructive pulmonary disease” (COPD)”.

The man is believed to have been homeless. He was “…referred to as “Larry” by other homeless persons in vicinity.” (Cook County Medical Examiner)

    BACKGROUND

On September 5th, 2022, Border patrol agents discovered human remains on a hillside in the Otay Mountain area of Dulzura, California.

The remains are believed to belong to a Hispanic male between 25 to 35 years old. He weighed 122 pounds (55.3383 kilograms) and stood at 5’9” in height (69 inches / 175.26 centimetres).

He was found wearing a black shirt, a black sweater, black pants, a black belt, underwear, white shoes, black socks, and a backpack.

He was also found with a bright blue notebook that had a sticker in one corner that read “Roca”, a small book (it looks possibly like a Bible to me) with a brown leather cover that zipped closed and had a zip pocket, a black lanyard with one silver key, and a black micro-USB to TRS (3.5 mm jack) and USB-A cord.

In the Circumstances of Recovery section of his NamUs profile, it states that he may have “…been associated with or stopped at the Iglesia Apostólica De La Fe En Cristo Jesus, A.R. in Tijuana, Mexico during his journey to the United States.” Iglesia Apostólica De La Fe En Cristo Jesus (IAFCJ) is a Oneness Pentecostal Church founded in Mexico. They have many locations in Mexico as well as the United States, with a U.S. headquarters located in San Bernardino, California. I am unsure why authorities believe this, but my guess is he had a card, sticker, or written note with the churches name and/or address in his belongings.
